EDEN2020’s Prof Elena de Momi of Politecnico di Milano presented on EDEN2020’s steerable robotic catheter at the most prominent forum for the robotics community in Europe. The European Robotics Forum 2020 (ERF2020) is the most influential meeting of the robotics community in Europe. It was held in Malaga, Spain, on 3-5 March 2020, under the theme Future Robotics: Unlocking Human Potential.

About 1000 top European robotics experts attended the conference covering all aspects and current themes related to the field of robotics. Researchers, engineers, managers, and a growing number of entrepreneurs, business entrepreneurs, and public funding officers from all over Europe came together to discuss technology push and market pull and how innovation in robotics and AI can be accelerated.

Professor de Momi is co-founder of the Neuroengineering and Medical Robotics Laboratory. She is an IEEE Senior Member, and currently Associate Editor of the Journal of Medical Robotics Research, the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, Frontiers in Robotics, and AI and Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing. From 2016 she has been an Associate Editor of IEEE ICRA, IROS and BioRob, Area Chair of MICCAI and she is currently Publication Co-Chair of ICRA 2019. She is responsible for the lab course in Medical Robotics and of the course on Clinical Technology Assessment of the MSc degree in Biom. Eng. at Politecnico di Milano and she serves in the board committee of the PhD course in Bioengineering.
